We create weddings that reflect the beauty of our couples’ stories. No two weddings are the same; instead, we tailor our signature blend of southern hospitality and elevated style to each.
Our passion is working with you and your families to tell the story of how you came to be and why you decided to gather your loved ones at the special spot you have chosen. We do this by curating all the details big and small to create a custom experience that you and your guests will remember for a lifetime. We are inspired by the things you adore - the garland that hangs are your family's holiday cabin, that aroma from the candle at the hotel you stayed at during your engagement, the way your grandmother set the table every Sunday - and design an event filled with meaning. We will guide you through the entire process, creating memories throughout the months of planning that culminate in a beautiful start to a new life chapter.
Based in Louisville, Kentucky, we love nothing more than a gorgeous wedding in bluegrass country, but we also love working in unique spaces like a downtown loft too and have produced events all over the country and abroad.
OUR TEAM
Jaclyn Journey
Jaclyn is a born and bred Kentucky girl who can’t remember a time when she wasn’t planning for some kind of gathering. Growing up in a big Lebanese and Syrian family meant that Sunday dinners were a family cornerstone during her childhood and she loved being surrounded by aunts, cousins, brothers, and sisters.
This weekly tradition was the start of a life-long love of celebrations. Jaclyn brings the same warmth and sense of closeness to wedding planning. With an aesthetic that combines old-world heritage and classic styling. Jaclyn is an old soul with a modern spirit.
After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles, Jaclyn worked in visual merchandising for Anthropologie. When she realized that her design and styling interests extended far beyond store windows, she founded Jaclyn Journey Weddings in 2010 and also now owns an interior design studio – Journey + Jacobs Design Studio – which opened in 2018. She draws on her background and staging experience to set the scene for weddings, crafting unique, stand-out spaces that complement the couple, their families, traditions, and interests.
Jaclyn and her husband, Chris, married in 2011 and have a son, Kit Thomas. She loves classic movies, long dinners with friends and family, good wine, and traveling.
Melissa Brady
A Florida native, Melissa grew up playing in the sun and sad, and her bright spirit and contagious energy spill effortlessly into her event planning.

Warmth and hospitality come naturally to Melissa, who graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Her vast event management experience includes group sales and marketing for Adriatic Luxury Hotels and event manager at The Grand Oaks Florida, the Kentucky Derby Museum and the Hermitage Classic.

Melissa began her own events company, Brady & Co Events, in 2014. After working on numerous projects together, Jaclyn Journey Weddings acquired Brady & Co in 2017. It was a natural next step in their relationship and Melissa’s strong logistical background and destination experience have proven invaluable. Melissa ins't the only one in her family that loves events. Her husband, Mike, is also in the business, and their collaborations have yielded some of Louisville’s most talked about events.

When she’s not keeping the team on time and on budget, you can find Melissa with Mike and their daughter, Jules, traveling, or trying out the latest hot spot in town.
