Skye and Trey’s Memorial Day weekend wedding felt effortless and sophisticated and was formal yet comfortable. With the majority of guests coming from New York City or Western Kentucky, where the bride is from, the couple maximized their time with their loved ones by having a full-weekend celebration. Guests first enjoyed a trip to Churchill Downs for some horse racing before heading out to horse country.

We used a neutral color palette with pops of coral red in the stationery and flowers mimicking the red paint on Hermitage Farm’s fencing.  We kept the design of the event clean and modern while still being relaxed in the setting.

Heaven shinned down and allowed Skye, Trey and all their guests to enjoy an alfresco meal — a rare occurrence during a Kentucky summer!  Guests shared a family-style fried chicken dinner on crisp white plates with hemstitched napkins, took a turn at the bourbon bar and enjoyed cigars and late-night dancing.
